Remember that trick where you stand in a doorway, put your arms at your sides and then press against the frame with all your might for a minute?

Afterwards, your arms sort of float up by themselves... I guess I've always been easily amused... Anyhow, it turns out that running in deep snow has the same effect on your legs! Too bad it's so short-lived. It took me nearly two hours to cover what I'd guess to be an eight mile loop Saturday, about half of it off road through 12 inches of fresh snow, with a light glaze on top that tickled my shins. It was silly, sure, but fun.
