The head of the fiscally-conservative, New Hampshire Advantage Coalition turned down calls that he dismiss his executive director for hiding her identity while making entries on liberal blog.

Chairman Michael Biundo said Executive Director Tammy Simmons is free to blog on her free time and Democratic Party-financed groups are upset because support for the coalition’s work to cap state and local taxes is building.

“If anything, I think too much time can be spent on these blogs because there’s a small universe of people who sit and watch them all day,” Biundo said.

Granite State Progress, a Democratic Party-financed group, revealed that Simmons used a fake identiy in making insults about GSP on Blue Hampshire, a leading blog for left-leaning activists.

Blue Hampshire officials traced the e-mail addresses used to Simmons who frequented the blog in recent days to criticize a Granite State Progress demonstration last week against the anti-spending coalition’s campaign

"This isn’t a situation about a young, overeager staffer making a mistake," said Zandra Rice Hawkins, Executive Director of Granite State Progress. "Tammy Simmons is the Executive Director of the NH Advantage Coalition and should know better. She purposely hid her identity in order to sling insults and mislead the conversation around an issue of great importance in New Hampshire.”

“Both Simmons and the NH Advantage Coalition owe Granite State Progress and Blue Hampshire a public apology, and Tammy Simmons should step down or be removed from her leadership position with the NH Advantage Coalition.”

Biundo said liberals pose as conservatives on their blogs and vice versa.

“This is a common occurrence. I’m not taking any action against Tammy,” Biundo said.
