CONCORD [-] A non-profit group dedicated to children reports that more than four in five likely votes in the presidential primary consider their issues important to the 2008 debate.
Every Child Matters released the results of a Mason Dixon Polling and Research survey it commissioned by telephone on June 4-7 of 800 voters from both parties.
The survey found 85 percent of all voters considered the issue important and that include 92 percent of Democrats, 76 percent of Republicans and 91 percent of independent voters.
“This poll confirms that New Hampshire’s voters want their local and national leaders to make improving the health, education and safety of children a high priority,’’ said Senate President Sylvia Larsen, D-Concord.
“The strength of the Every Child Matters campaign is found in this broad coalition of business and community leaders. Working together, I am certain that we can build the public and political will to make children a priority during this campaign.”
