Many presidential campaign operatives work one cycle in New Hampshire and move with the winning administration or, failing that, work either on Capitol Hill or in the field of political consulting.

But Democratic media strategist Kathleen Strand got the New Hampshirepolitical bug in 2004 and she’s back for a return performance. She’sbecome press secretary for the New Hampshire Democratic Party.

In 2004, she first worked on Dick Gephardt’s campaign and then later ina press capacity for the state party’s coordinated campaign in thefall.

New Hampshire was the only state that went from red for George W. in2000 to blue for John Kerry in 2004.

During the interim, Strand did press work on health care reform for Ohio Gov. Rod Blagodevich.

"I’m really excited about being back. I think there are some great opportunities here," Strand said.

She’s also got the same bosses as she had in 2004./p>

Back then, Nick Clemons and Michael Vlacich were co-directors of the coordinated campaign.

This time, Clemons is executive director of the party and Vlacich is heading up the re-election campaign of Gov. John Lynch.
