Republican congressional candidate Bob Clegg would surely like more than the successful, two-day campaign visit from ex-Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

    Some campaign cash would come in handy too.

   Huckabee profiled Clegg on the web site of Huck PAC, his political action committee that has already endorsed several candidates including Duncan Hunter Jr. to replace his father as a California congressman.

   Clegg had to make a six-figure deposit of cash into his own campaign to get it jump started.

   Huckabee said the web site spreads the word to his sizable, small donor base that helped keep him in the race longer than many thought he could last.

   Clegg began airing the first media ad in the Second Congressional District race,a 30-second radio spot on select NH stations.
