Romney won one ``election'' here.

KevinLandrigan | 06 January, 2008 23:08 | (207)

A group of undecided voters at the Merrimack Restaurant in Manchester last night overwhelmingly preferred Republican Mitt Romney following Sunday night's debate on the FOX News Network.

Meanwhile,  the campaign recycled a Dec. 31 Washington Post story to refute John McCain's claim that he was proud at never requesting a congressional earmark.

The Post uncovered a 1992 McCain memo under the Freedom of Information Act pressing for a $5 million Arizona wastewater project.

Details please [Reply]

Was this in terms of performance at the debate, best hairstyle, best speaking style, fewest flubs or??

It also might have been nice to state how many 'undecided voters' there were in the restaurant-- I'm sure that both of you liked Mitt.

Romney won one ``election'' here. [Reply]

You can win a debate, but lose an election. This happened to John Edwards when he ran circles around Dick Cheney in 2004. Mitt Romney is the most polished and probably the best debator, but he doesn't match up well against the Dems in the General Election. Republicans need to elect someone who can win the General Election. The Dems made the same mistake in 2004 by electing Kerry. (How could anyone lose to Bush in 2004?)

Real winner [Reply]

Rush said that Fred Thompson was the winner. As for the FOX undecided voters.... If someone has to tell you that they are fair and balanced, they probably are not.

Fox - We report and We decide.

Romneys Religion [Reply]

I have not decided who I am going to vote for yet. But I do know a couple of people I will not vote for. ANY person who attacks another mans religion or uses his religious views as grounds for casting a vote is not sophisticated or smart enough to be this nation’s president. The constant attacks of Mitt Romney’s religions is enough. I have had the pleasure of working with a few people that are Mormon and I cannot see what every ones problem is. They were hard working and honest, cherished their wives and spent a lot of time as a family with their children.

Romney does seem genuine. I may not agree with all of his politics but there is one thing I do know. He does not use his religion as grounds for a vote. His religion has strict penalties about getting involved with the state or nation. Unlike the evangelicals who have president bush under the thumb, “he meets with them every Monday” Huckabee is doing exactly what Bush did, “I am a man of god” Vote for me! Who cares what my politics are. They make a disgrace of the separation of church and state.

If any of you doubt this information watch the documentary Jesus camp. Watch the five year old children speak in tongues, praise and pray to a card board cut out of bush.

There is no doubt in my mind that either Huckabee, The evangelicals or McCain were in charge of the anti Mormon post cards sent to voters in South Carolina. This kind of harmful behavior is a disgrace. All men are equal, to believe and be what ever they want. At least the democrats have not resorted to such childish behavior even though they have a few sensitive issues themselves, the first women or African American president

Romney Won Debate [Reply]

Romney won the debate because he is solid on the issues, that shines through when he speaks for himself, as opposed to being undiluted by the biased media. Every liberal knows Romney is the only real threat to a Socialist - uh I mean Democrat- president.

Not A Honest Romney [Reply]

So, for those that like Romney, you are saying you want someone that will flip-flop to whatever fits his polictical aganda, He flip-flopped even on his stance of faith of his church and father. He siad,"he would never leave his church or the faith of his fathers, yet Mormons have never believed in Abortion, yet Romney was Pro-Choice and supported Planned Parenthood jsy for the vote for governor, then changed to Pro-Life when he decided to run for president, his change of heart was a polictical one, not a heart choice.
He lied about the Martin Luther King March, then tried to use a play on words to re-nig on the issue.
So, Romney supporters you however seem to want a president that will LIE to you for wherever his polictical aganda is and to H---
with you that voted him in.
For all it's worth you should go out and buy a Plastic Ken Doll and name him president, you will get more substance.
