Rudy ramps up in Nashua

Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani opens a campaign office in downtown Nashua this week.

The candidate sought to debunk reports he's giving up on trying to win here and will follow that up with a jam-packed schedule this Friday through Sunday.

The office is at 207 Main St.

Meanwhile, the campaign confirmed The Sunday Telegraph article that Giuliani had made strategic decisions to shuffle advertising dollars that included cutting his Boston TV budget next week by at least half.

Giuliani also ended the worst kept secret of late, confirming he had hired Meridian Communications to assist with ad planning.

The firm is coming off its re-election victory of Manchester Mayor Frank Giunta and performed work for two other GOP hopefuls who have since backed out, George Pataki and Tommy Thompson.
