Hillary Rodham Clinton picked up the last but not the least, Democratic state senator to weigh in with Manchester Democrat Lou D'Allesandro hopping aboard the frontronner's bandwagon today.

D'Allesandro and his wife, Pat, hosted all the major, Democratic hopefuls at his home and in 2004 was a critical supporter of primary rival John Edwards.

Early on, D'Allesandro signaled he was a free agent and most observers concluded that meant Edwards was all but out of the running.

President Bill Clinton also had several telephone conversations with D'Allesandro in hopes of closing the deal.

This endorsement has Clinton with eight state senators including President Sylvia Larsen, D-Concord, three for Edwards and three for Barack Obama.

D'Allesandro made it official this morning with his introduction of Clinton at a Granite State Independent Living Foundation forum in Manchester.
