Katrina gives Hillary post-Halloween treat.

The suspense was hardly breath-taking, but ex-US Senate Democratic candidate Katrina Swett endorsed Hillary Rodham Clinton today.

Swett has future, political ambitions and going with the frontrunner is both the easy and astute move.

After all despite their differences on issues, both Clintons have been very good (read $$$) to both Swetts during their campaigns for federal office. Former President Bill and Hilllary both stumped here for Dick Swett during his failed, US Senate bid in 1996.

Clinton also helped the coordinated campaign and Katrina Swett raise money when she tried to unseat ex-Congressman Charles Bass in 2002.

Last week, another Democratic Senate hopeful who stepped aside to back Jeanne Shaheen's 2008 Senate campaign [-] Portsmouth Mayor Steve Marchand [-] weighed in for New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson.
