Clinton picks up another NH Dem staffer

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has snagged another state party staff employee to work on her New Hampshire primary campaign.

Communications Director Kathleen Strand will join Clinton’s presidential campaign on March 12 as the state campaign spokesperson.

That’s two days after Clinton will be the keynote speaker of the state party’s largest annual fundraiser in Manchester.

In recent weeks, Clinton has convinced both Executive Director Nick Clemons and Finance Director Liz Purdy to take jobs with her New Hampshire campaign.

Clemons will head the state campaign while Purdy is already on the Clinton campaign payroll.

The exodus follows Party Chairman Kathy Sullivan’s announcement she would not seek another term.

State committee members are to decide March 24 who will replace her. The two candidates are former, House Democratic Leader Jim Craig of Manchester and Brookline State Rep. Betty Hall.
