BG is on the move

Dave Haley’s bi-weekly boys basketball power rankings are out on NH Sports Page, and the biggest mover is Bishop Guertin.

The Cardinals, unranked two weeks ago, surged all the way to the seventh spot, coming off big wins at Pinkerton and against Manchester Memorial. Dropping a couple of spots, from 8th to 10th, was Nashua South, which plays at No. 1 Trinity (14-1) tonight. South has already beaten No. 2 Manchester Central (12-3).

Pelham is the highest ranked Class I team. The once beaten Pythons are No. 3 finished the regular season at 17-1. The big game tonight in Class M features unbeaten Stevens of Claremont, ranked 14th overall, at No. 16 Conant.

Conant, the three-time defending champions in Class M, saw a 53-game winning streak end in their season opener at Stevens. They are 16-0 since that game.
