Jones family needs support

Milford High School athletic director Marc Maurais said Friday morning that the response has been overwhelming in support of football coach Keith Jones and his family.

Harris Jones, the young son of the Milford head coach, suffered severe injuries to his right leg in a weekend accident and has undergone multiple surgeries at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

Maurais said more surgeries are planned, but it is uncertain if the doctors will be able to save Harris’ leg.

The Hampshire football community has rallied around the popular coach and a fund has been set up to help the family. Donations can be sent to the following address:

The Harris Jones Fund

PO Box 783

Hanover High School football coach Mike Ivanoski is organizing a breakfast fundraiser which will take place on Sunday, Feb. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 at 5 Olde Nugget Alley Restaurant, which is located off Main Street in Hanover. Donations will be accepted at this breakfast and all proceeds will go to the Jones family.

Maurais said a large banner supporting Harris Jones and signed by over 100 Milford students has been sent to the family, along with food prepared by the school’s culinary arts students.
