Away with Galloway, In with Welker
Filed under Uncategorized by tom king at 6:56 pm
To no one’s real surprise, it appears Patriots receiver Joey Galloway is a healthy scratch for today’s game with the Baltimore Ravens. Galloway has had an admittedly difficult time grasping the offense, and even Wes Welker clone rookie Julian Edelman has looked better than the 13-year veteran. But we get the real Wes Welker today, and he looked unhampered in warmups.
Linebacker Jerod Mayo, despite being upgraded to doubtful and seen at practice (albeit limited) late this week, was also inactive.
Also on the inactive list: Cornerback Terrence Wheatley (who played last week), defensive back Bret Lockett, running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis, and linemen Rich Ohrnberger, Kendall Simmons and Ron Brace.
Out for the Ravens: RB Jalen Parmele, linebacker Tevares Gooden, tackle Oniel Cousins, lineman tony Moll, tight end Tony Curtis, and nose tackles Brandon mcKinney and Kelly Talavou.
