Every woman wants to dress in a way that best flatters her body but not every woman knows what would look best on her.

Shabby Apple has come up with an application called Fit to Flatter to help you pick out the perfect clothes to fit your body type.

It’s a genius idea.

You take the short quiz, which determines your body type and then the site suggests items that work for that type.

Unfortunately, the quiz is flawed.

The body types are listed across the top of the screen: Hourglass, apple, pear, pencil, athletic, womanly, tall, short.

I took the quiz several times. (There are only three questions so it takes less than a minute to do.) No matter what combo I picked, it kept saying I was pear shaped, but I’m really more of a short hourglass.

I had a couple of my co-workers take the quiz, too, to make sure it wasn’t always wrong, and I agreed with what it said for their body types.

The second flaw is that there’s never anything to mention height. If tall and short are categories, then shouldn’t they be an option on the quiz?

So, I say skip the quiz and go straight to the shopping. You should know what your body-type falls under. If you don’t, then ask a friend.
