Head to the mountains

Well, first the Rockies head to Boston for Games 1 and 2 of the World Series, Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Before any pink-hat Red Sox fans - you know, the ones who sit in the Fenway suites and wonder when Tom Brady will get in the game - think this Series is a pushover, they should consider the fact that Colorado hasn't lost a game since Brady was in single digits for touchdown passes.

Whether the nine days between their NLCS triumph and Game 1 will hurt or help is unclear. But the Rockies beat the Red Sox twice in a three-game series at Fenway in June, which at least suggests that they know how to play AL baseball.

This isn't meant as a gloom-and-doom report on the Red Sox' chances of winning this Series, but just a reality check. Don't count on it being a quick and easy Series.
